The Dragonfly Tea Short Story Competition 2017

photo-1-300-pix-wideNext month, British family company Dragonfly Tea will be launching their third Short Story writing competition, in partnership with the Henley Literary Festival.

Now in its third year, the competition is open to both adults and children and encourages budding wordsmiths to put the kettle on and let their imaginations take flight!

Competition themes so far have included ‘Discovery’, ‘Adventure’ and the names of Dragonfly’s delicious teas, including ‘Skinny Dragon’ and ‘Emerald Mountain’. Thrillingly, the last two years have seen an overwhelming number of entries from talented but as yet unknown, non-professional writers and this year Dragonfly hope to discover even more hidden gems.

All entries are read and shortlisted, and then judged by a panel of well-known literary experts. Finalists will be invited to a special awards ceremony at the Henley Literary Festival in October where the winners in each category will be announced and awarded some fabulous prizes.
